FUNNY PEOPLE

Today was my first SAG gig and it wasn't really very different from being non-union. In fact, one could argue that it is no different at all. I wasn't given any special treatment, received any line-cuts or food others didn't. The only difference was that SAG booked folks were asked to dress for a more upscale club and non-union folks were dressed more casually.

I got to see Judd Apatow while walking to the holding area. There were a lot of background cast with numerous tables inside one of the sound stages. I set my chair up, but didn't really use it much since we were called onto set pretty early.

I love these kinds of days when work doesn't feel like work. We saw Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen as stand-up comedians who told damn good jokes. It was a good time and thankfully, they didn't have to say the same jokes over and over again. They just rolled the cameras as they told the jokes so it was like going to a comedy club and listening to some comedians. The only difference is that these guys were big and we were getting paid to listen to their jokes.

I was hoping for some overtime, but unfortunately, I was wrapped around eight hours later. I didn't mind too much as I was able to beat the traffic going home.
