JOINING SAG

I joined the Screen Actor's Guild! If someone told me I would be joining the Screen Actor's Guild, I would have told them they were crazy. I never imagined I would ever be part of this union, but since I had the opportunity to do it, I figured I'd better do it while I have the means. I heard that a strike was possible, but I'm going with the "nothing ventured, nothing gained" mentality.

Orientation at the SAG headquarters was pretty cool. It was informative and gave you the feeling that anything is possible as long as you hustle and try to make things happen for yourself. I'm really only doing it as an investment since I figured I'd make more money doing background work as a union member rather than non-union, but it feels cool to join, kind of like being in a club that not everyone can join.

Afterwards, I had lunch with Jansen near his work. We ate at a little diner where Endeavor (a talent agency) is also located. We saw a bunch of agents, talked a little shop then I headed out to LAX to pick-up Moms from her trip.
