THE DAY AFTER TURKEY DAY
K. Paul and fams left, but not before Kylie, Karina, Lia and I got
our mahjong on. It was fun as hell and I'm so happy they have learned
how to play. For some reason, the damn game is addicting even when we
don't gamble. I want to learn how to score now though, so we'll see how
that goes.
Then moms, Marissa (who was dropped off) and I took the girls home since they spent the night just to hang out with Lia. They are so sweet and I have to remember that sometimes. I did a little jog around the block, then came back to K. Noel's house.
There, I spent some time with Amanda and her PS3 upstairs. I couldn't get it to connect to the internet, but then realized it probably didn't have bluetooth. I also did a little cable remote programming so you could turn the tv off with it.
Then moms, Marissa and I went to Tilly's to pick Jared up and check out his store. It's cool to see Jared grow up to be a man and get his first job. Now he'll realize how much a sucky job sucks. It's his first job though so at least he'll get a chance to see what retail is like and to see how he will fit into the world we live in.
Moms and I left before dinner and got back to a quiet home. I watched Cal play football on tv and beat ASU and noticed that the Memorial stadium is complete and it's going to seriously kick ass. The school should make more money and we'll have a better football team. At least I hope we do.
During the game, Janet and I got a chance to catch up on the phone. It's nice being friends with her but I'm not sure where our friendship will lead. It's fun hanging out once and awhile, but I'm not sure if there's much point to it if she or I are looking for more than friendship. However, she did go through Landmark Education and it totally changed her perspective on life. I'm proud of her realizations and hope it will continue. I told her that if next year, at this time, she's still doing her thing, then it's a true success that Time has judged.
