SHOPPING FOR THANKSGIVING
It's nice to know stores are open just before Thanksgiving. You can do last minute shopping without much worry.
The first stop was the Korean market, Super H. I spent most of the time here. I bought some oxtail, some shrimp and lots of jelly fruit cups for the kids. I bought some fruits and I bought a few vegetables for the kare kare I planned to make. I also got some green tea and melons.
The next stop was Albertsons for some potatoes and other things I can't quite remember.
I was supposed to stop by the Chinese restaurant Jade House but I totally forgot. I was going to order a fried turkey there for Thanksgiving but figured I could just go there tomorrow.
I spent a few hours making the kare kare. When everyone got home from the children's museum, I had it ready for them. They really seemed to enjoy it. It was good timing too because Tam and Jansen and Eleanor and Beejay along with their kids came through.
Tam left a little early, and then it was time to play some poker. The first game we played was some no-limit cash with $.10-$.20 blinds. K. Noel and Jared went heads-up in the first tourney but K. Noel prevailed. Then the last tourney we played had me and K. Noel heads-up but I ended up winning.
All-in-all, it was a great day because I realized how much fun it is spending time with the fams. We don't get together very often, but when we do, it's good times.
