MOMS GOES TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM

Mom went to see her Dr. in the morning because she was still feeling pain in her tummy. The Dr. ordered her to get a CT scan at the Baldwin Park Kaiser so while she waited, I went to In-N-Out for lunch. When I came back, she was still waiting for it to be done so she told me to go home and pick her up when she was done.

I had forgotten my phone at home, so by the time I got home, there was a message telling me not to go since she had finished her scan. So I drove back to pick her up then headed back home. We waited about 30 minutes when we got home for the call from the Dr. It turned out she needed an appendectomy. The initial diagnosis of diverticulitis was incorrect.

So I drove her back and we waited at the ER for a few hours before she was finally admitted. They took her upstairs to the OR and I was placed in a different waiting room. K. Noel and Amanda came later and as they waited, I went to WingStop for dinner.

By the time I returned, moms was already done with her operation and we saw her in the operation treatment and care area or OTC. She was still groggy from the anesthesia so after a few goodbyes, we left and let mom sleep.
