CASTLE #2

I'd never worked in an insert unit before, so I didn't exactly know what that meant when I was booked in one. It turns out that the insert unit is responsible for shooting the little shots that are inserted in between the main shots used in a scene.

So today, I was supposed to be the Indian ER intern. The funny thing is that they don't even get close to shooting any part of us that is even visible, so it could have been pretty much anybody. Instead, they always seem to try to get someone as close to the height and shade of the original principal.

The people I was working with were pretty cool and they were young. One chick was Pinay named Crystal and the other was probably Korean named Terra. I also met a Hispanic dude who was very nice and laid back who I ended up seeing on The Shield. He played the medic and was sitting around along with us pretty much all day.

I got to eat lunch with Crystal and Terra and Terra seemed much nicer and talkative than Crystal probably because she was single. I hate eating at commissaries because it's always so expensive, so I ordered the cheap house salad for $5 since we had a lot of food and treats back on stage at crafty.

It was a long day and I ended up staying longer than everyone else since they needed one more extra to take the part of a detective. But after this insert was shot, everyone wrapped. It was kind of spooky getting dropped off at the Hollywood Cemetery since that's where we had to park.
