HARDFEST 2011

Jared, K. Paul, K. Noel and I played golf at Diamond Bar this morning. I was hoping for an earlier time, but I guess there wasn't one. We decided to walk since it was going to be a slow day and we save some money. I was a little worried about walking because it was pretty hot and I knew I was going to party tonight.

We decided to play skins straight up except that Jared would have a handicap. I shot a 47 on the front and didn't feel too bad about it. There were some double bogeys and triple bogeys I felt like wasn't too much my fault. By the turn, I got my game together and shot a 40. I had two birdies in the round, both to win some tough skins. I guess the handicap really works since it made the game pretty fair. Otherwise, Jared would have killed us.

Then I left for Hardfest after showering. I didn't have time to eat and just said goodbye to the kids and fams. I picked Jansen up and we left for Venice so Josh could drive us to Union Station. There, we found $6 parking and got up on the platform. We could already see the freaks out in full effect. I began to feel like this was a rave we were attending.

We did some taping inside out drawers to smuggle some shit inside. It was pretty sketchy, but we didn't have any issues at all. When I got inside, I went straight to eat because I was starving. By the time I started to really take things in, I realized this was a full on rave. Jansen had fooled me into thinking it was more of a music festival. I guess it was, but it really was more like this even though these are pictures from Audiotistic.

It was a pretty long night, but I really enjoyed watching Cromeo. I also liked Duck Sauce though Skrillex wasn't too much my thing even though my friend Rich loves him. I didn't get as wasted as I thought I would get but I suppose that's a pretty good thing at my age. We didn't find any after-parties, so after chillin' at Josh's for a little bit, we just went home.
