POKER RUN/WALK
Sometimes I hate poker and sometimes I love it. I loved it yesterday because I got over the $90 hump again. After coming in 2nd in a 90 person tourney, I got to $95 and became over confident and subsequently lost and went back down to about $87 in just a few sessions.
Poker is frustrating and exhilarating at times. Unfortunately, you can not choose when it decides to be one or the other. I'd hate to be like this in my person (i.e. bipolar). The ups and downs are a killer, so it really does take a lot of patience to be successful at it longterm.
I had a terrible sleep last night and felt like I needed a nap in the afternoon. When I woke-up, I was groggy and still sleepy. So I turned the Ironman Triathlon on and watched it to get geared up. It definitely helps seeing people fight through pain and conquering something so difficult. It's a motivator. It's kind of like watching someone do something and knowing that you can do it too. Of course, you don't watch the professionals, you watch the amateurs. But there's still something about watching pros kill it that gives you that will or "ganas" to strive toward something great.
After the leg workout, I finally installed the network server I got for my birthday. I can finally clean out the hard drive on the PC. Unfortunately, I won't be able to connect to it my mac as it runs Tiger and the network drive only supports 10.5 and above.
