CELEBRITY REHAB PARTY
I woke-up early to see if Janet and I could still go to the TreePeople workshop late. When I looked at the information a little more closely, I realized pre-registration was required and that I hadn't pre-registered. In a way, I was ok about it because it meant I could go back to sleep since I had only six hours of sleep.
When I woke-up, I had lunch and chilled-out a little before heading out to Culver City. Then Janet and I went to the Baldwin Hills State Park that has an amazing view of Los Angeles. It's not as high as Griffith Observatory, I don't think, but the view is just great. I was supposed to do the P90x yoga today, but I suppose the great big steps at the park were good enough. At least I got some exercise in.
Then we went to Trader Joe's for some grocery shopping. I gave Janet the choice of adobo or sinigang, and since sinigang has more vegetables in it, she went for that. Trader Joe's doesn't really have a great choice of meat, so I had to go for baby back ribs for the sinigang. While we waited for the stew to cook, we watched I Love You Phillip Morris. It's one of those stories that show you that truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. When I read this story, I was amazed that something like this actually happened. It's pretty amazing. The movie was good too.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to go to the party Janet was telling me about, but I decided that I might as well. I figured it was a good chance to see what kind of people Janet hangs out with. It was a smallish party out in North Hollywood that was pretty tame. However, there was plenty to drink and plenty to smoke so had the party been larger, it would probably have been funner. We played flip cup in the backyard, then Apples to Apples and then even later in the evening, the Wii was turned on for some Mario Cart. It's not the kind of party I'm used to, but hey, new experiences are my thing.
