SUPER BOWL
I knew it would eventually happen. It's been two days since my last post because I was too tired to write anything Sunday, and just forgot to write anything last night.
Super Bowl Sunday was pretty fun. Jansen and I went over to my cousin's place in Rancho Cucamonga. It was a small Granflor party and it was nice to see a lot of the family I hadn't seen for some time. Unfortunately, not all the Granflors were there, but only one family was missing since I heard they had their own football party.
There was a lot of poker and a lot of food. I brought over the Jack Daniels lil' smokies, but no one really seemed to like them too much. I think they are better warm, and all the food was out so they got cold pretty quickly. Also, the smokies were put in a dark tray so there wasn't much contrast between the dish and the plate. It just looked like a black hole.
A taco man was there and he served chicken, beef, tongue and cabeza which are the meats on and around the head. I tried them all except the chicken. Good stuff, but the salsa wasn't that flavorful and the meat could have used more spices, especially salt. The tortillas could have been better too, but hey, I ain't complainin', just bloggin'.
I got home at a decent time after Jansen and I both got knocked out of the final tournament of the night. It took some time to get sleepy after having drunk all that beer. I'm feeling like beer is not my drink and would much rather drink cocktails due to the fullness and flatulence I seem to develop after too much beer, not to mention the feeling of dehydration.
