GOLF AT PARADISE KNOLLS

Jansen and I went out to Paradise Knolls again to try to play some good golf. Unfortunately, the group behind us caught up and we also caught up to the group in front of us eventually which resulted in pressure as well as long waiting periods. That generally translates into bad golf and we both sucked terribly.

Part of the reason for our weak scores were so bad was the rough. It was pretty tall and when you hit a drive into it, sometimes it was impossible to find the ball. I lost three balls this way and losing balls off the tee meant you had to go back and hit another drive. On two holes I just cheated and dropped a ball around the fairway.

I also noticed that my drives were drawing or hooking so I adjusted by trying to hit a cut. It's weird. I thought the new driver was so easy to hit when I started playing with it but now, I'm having trouble hitting it! Golf is such a weird sport because it plays into so many mental and physical aspects.

Jansen didn't have time for Hooters or eating afterward, so we just went home and ate there. At least we saved some money.
