A LIL HANGOVER

I woke up a little dry and a little fuzzy in the noggin', but not so bad. I ate an egg and Shirl and I got started on our project. The goal was to put together a piece she bought from Ikea that would allow her to hang some shit she wears often instead of having to use a closet in another room. We got started on it and took a break for lunch.

We went for some dogs in the Lower Haight. Then my old friend Vanessa called me and I told her she wouldn't believe where I was. She guessed it though and it's always interesting to me whether much of life is coincidence or pre-ordained? Anyway, we made plans for Sunday and we're excited to see each other since our lives have changed quite a bit since she left LA.

Shirl and I returned and completed our project. It's a little wobbly but it works and having that piece allowed Shirl to finally put some things away that were cluttering her room. Then Dot got home and left again to wait for us to get ready for our night out. After showering, we picked her up at the Bean Bag and went straight to Off The Grid.

Since we got there early, the lines weren't so bad. But as the night wore-on, it got more and more crowded. We had a drink and tried a bunch of different things. We had the sisig taco from HapaSF, another sisig taco from Senor Sisig, some buns from General Bao, some potstickers that were more like balls of meat from Happy Dumplings and a langsilog taco from Wow Silog. We finished it all up with some Horchata flavored kettle corn from Peter's kettle corn.

Then we left because it was starting to get cold and windy. We went to Lush Lounge for some Sweet Home Alabama Tea and I found out most of these bars are cash only places. I don't get that, but I guess it's just part of the City's quirks. We got a little toasty and got some munchies so Dot bought a bunch of chips to curb our appetite. We just went back to the apartment and chilled for what will probably be a long day tomorrow.
