START OF SOMETHING OLD

I woke-up not feeling so great because of all the beer I drank yesterday. But I couldn't sleep anymore so I kind of staggered downstairs to see what I could do. I ate some watermelon and that curbed the growling in my tummy. As soon as I turned the tube on, the power went out. I had forgotten that Edison would be working on our power grid here in DB, so I was left without power.

Luckily, the iPad doesn't need electricity so I just played some games on it. But then Cindy called and said that she couldn't check-in the Extended Stay America hotel we had booked for her. I totally forgot to work on that this morning. I was supposed to sign some papers to book the room, but I hadn't. And with no power, I had to have them fax the papers to moms.

Moms had to leave early from work to meet-up with the Jedis before they all went back home. So there was definitely a lot of time pressure going on. Matt at Extended Stay got the wrong fax number, Cindy was left stranded and moms was waiting for the fax. Finally, everything got worked out and Cindy was able to check-in. Unfortunately, we didn't get the AAA discount on top of the Costco discount so that's going to add a few dollars per day. Hopefully I can visit them or talk them into giving us an additional discount since Cindy will probably be in there for at least two weeks.

I took a nap after the steak lunch and when I woke-up, I was hungry. I had some Cheerios and wondered if I should even work out. I felt kind of ill, but I think after I got some food in me, I felt better.

I did shoulders and arms and boy did I feel weak. I knew I would not be able to finish the workout so I only did half of it. It would take me another month to get back into my former shape, so hopefully, after a month of this, I'll be ready to start my half-marathon training.
