LOTS OF TIME IN FRONT OF A COMPUTER
All afternoon was spent in front of a monitor, looking at a screen or some kind of device, working on something that really doesn't mean much in the giant scheme of things. I spent a bunch of time today downloading things from the Internet and although it doesn't really mean much, I suppose I'm happy just doing it. What else must we have in life other than happiness for ourselves and others?
I had Sealab 2021, an old show from the same guys who do Archer, one of my favorite shows on television right now. The humor is similar, full of wit and funny banter. But I couldn't get it to play on my PS3, so I spent some time on the Internet finding out what other people do. In the end, none of their solutions worked. Copying the files onto the PS3 didn't work. Neither did sharing the media using Windows Media Player file sharing capabilities. So then I decided to convert the files so that the PS3 would be able to play them. But the problem was that a ten minute program would take an hour to convert. So I gave up and decided I would just watch them on the PC.
I also mopped the hardwood floor because I like walking around barefoot and I had this sense that the floor was not feeling really good under my feet. It felt dirty and I guess it probably was, although it wasn't filthy.
I also got a hold of Beejay finally. He's been dodging my calls because I know he doesn't want to send me his hand history for an online tournament we had last year. I couldn't convince him and he knows he doesn't have to help me, so why should he? It just disappoints me that people can be like that. As much as I try being a good person with him, I guess it really doesn't matter what I do or don't do if it doesn't benefit him some way.
