GET LOW

It was cool being a part of the SAG nominating committee last year. I was able to see what it's like to nominate actors for our annual awards show. It's more difficult than I thought because it's pretty much impossible to watch every single performance. My goal was just to watch the screeners that were sent to me, but even that proved very difficult. In the end, I went with my best shot and also voted for some actors I thought deserved it based on other people's feelings.

Since I have to vote for the actual awards now, I watched Get Low last night since Robert Duvall is on the list for best actor. I think it's one of those movies that has a really good performance but because it's such a small movie, he doesn't stand much of a chance. Nevertheless, it's great that he's being recognized even though the movie isn't that good.
