TOMMY'S CHILI CLONE
Jared and I finally decided to clone the chili that Tommy's is famous for. But we didn't read the instructions well enough and didn't cook the roux long enough. So when everything was added to the chili, it looked a bit grey and unappetizing. So Jared just kept it on a low simmer for a long time and it looked better, but still didn't have that Tommy's appeal.
We basically made that for dinner and I also made some California sushi rolls, but I felt like it just wasn't enough food for everyone to be satisfied. Oh well, we'll get 'em next time.
