THE MENTALIST #8

We were sent out to the cuts today.  It was the Veluzat ranch out in the boonies where you had to drive on a dirt road for about ten minutes.  It was crazy.  But once we got to base camp, it looked like any other outdoor set.

Some people still have the impression that someone sued a company for giving him or her donated food.  I've never found this and always challenge people when they say this.  People aren't aware of Clinton's good Samaritan law that prevents people from suing others who donate food for a good cause.  Still, donating perfectly good food is still quite difficult and a lot of catering companies either do not want to do it because of lawsuits or they just aren't aware that they can.  I need to do something about this.

Anyway, I was booked as an FBI investigator who would walk around the fake oil digging area with a bunch of construction guys mixed in.  Someone died so we are the ones that have to do some investigating.  I met a non-union guy who was probably racist, but more just trying to tell it like it is and didn't realize he sounded like one.  He was fun and kept things lively telling jokes or some other facet of his life.

However, the FBI guys were wrapped and I didn't get a chance to get his FB profile but I doubt he even had one.  It was nice meeting the guy though.
