DEXTER #5

It didn't seem that long since I've worked on Dexter.  But it definitely seems like I've been waiting forever to get a nice rush of work.  I was late, but I called Central and when I got there, I wasn't the last one there.  Besides, wardrobe was still looking at people.

I was booked as a patient, but then they made a bunch of us switch over to different looks like maintenance workers, admin, nurses, security and EMTs.  I got to be an EMT which I didn't mind so much since I was able to get a picture of myself in costume.  What sucked was how hot it was today and the changing tent was like a gym.  BO, sweaty dudes, hot air and exposed skin did not make for a pleasant changing experience.

The scene that had a lot of us change was quick.  Three takes of us walking behind Dexter and they moved on.  I then switched over to my patient wardrobe and waited.  And waited and waited.  Finally some of us were called in and then we had lunch.

Then we waited again.  Then we would get called over and some were called in and some were not.  I was one of the nots.  I never mind not working on set as long as I see it.  I understand it's not personal but it's about boredom.  Can you take it?  Some can not, but I can.

After we were wrapped, I wanted to go to Lure, but Reuben and Jansen both flaked, so I ended up at Christian's party.  I was way too early, and I thought about going to Eleanor's friend Warren's party at his vape joint, but I could not hang.  I knew I had to go to Carlo and Ayet's place tomorrow, so I didn't mind getting home early to rest.  I felt really tired not having enough sleep last night.

SWITCHED AT BIRTH #3

Jared and I went to In n Out for some food and on the way back, BeeJay called and we got into a pretty big argument.  I was furious and after it all, I wondered why I got so furious.  Was I being too defensive?  Was I making a mountain out of a mole hill?  Was I just frustrated and wanted to get my feelings out?  I'm not sure.

Kimi came by to pick up Jared and then I left for Santa Clarita Studios.  On the way, I got to talk to BeeJay more and even though we didn't get to really figure things out to satisfaction, it seemed like I got him to think about leading by example.

I didn't realize how far the studios were so I was ten minutes late.  Right when I was walking up to check-in, I got a call from Central asking me if I was close.  I always feel bad for being late, and maybe I should have called Central to let them know.

It was hot on set, and we were supposed to be in some kind of cafe or bar.  One of the actors was playing the guitar and singing.  He was good.  What made the day fun was being set with a black guy and a white Southern lady.  They were telling jokes and being fun and that helped.

What sucked is we worked a full eight hours but the lucky folks were the ones who checked-in early in the morning for the car wash scene.  The good news was that I drove there and back without any traffic.
