MAJOR CRIMES

I got booked for a late night call and I hoped that it wouldn't be that late.  I drove to Hollywood and didn't pay attention to where I was supposed to park.  I drove around the boulevard and stopped to ask the rent a cops.  They didn't know shit, so I asked one of the crew guys.  He was helpful and told me to just park on the street until he could find a PA.

When he did, he told me to park at the hotel which is where I was supposed to park in the first place.  That's what happens when you don't pay attention.

Our holding area was a room that everyone was scared about.  Everyone imagined what had happened in that space and our imaginations were probably a little overboard.  Still, I didn't have the guts to get on the bed.

We weren't used at all.  I was asked to get in my car once, but then I wasn't used and just sent back.  So we just chilled in the room until we were wrapped.

DADS

The show is from Seth MacFarlane who is producing or something.  At least that's what IMDB says.

I was booked as an office worker and it was the usual three camera sit-com starring Giovanni Ribisi and Seth Green.  I was surprised to see Ribisi working in television, but it seems that that's what's going on a lot these days.  He's a cool guy and seemed to be worried about the lines he had to memorize.  He kept walking around saying the lines to himself.  I suppose that's because he actually replaced another actor for the part.

The 2nd 2nd was Nikki and I think she's Chuck Lorre's daughter.  I remember seeing her on Two and a Half Men or one of Lorre's shows.  She's a straight shooter so I made sure to follow her directions and to be quick about whatever I had to do.

There were three scenes we had to shoot.  I saw Donovon again and he was booked as one of the Japanese guys in a conference room.  I didn't work in that.  Rather, I worked in the office worker scenes and also as part of a party scene at Ribisi's character's home.

Today was just rehearsal, so we got all our ducks in a row and were told to come back tomorrow to shoot the real deal.

GOOD LUCK CHARLIE #2

I love it when the recording on the line tells you what to expect when you get on set.  The recording told us that it would be a long day and that we would work all day since there were a lot of scenes we had to shoot.

The funny thing is that there were a lot of people I'd worked with, including a few from the NCIS LA shoot that were there.  The scene was a Mexican themed party, so I guess that's why we were booked.  Initially, I had a mariachi costume to wear, but they needed some waiters so I was recruited.

It was the usual pretending to serve food to guests and trying to remember when to enter and move around the somewhat crowded dining room.  The scene was pretty good because the principals on the show try to keep their mothers from seeing each other.  When they think they finally had done it, the mothers finally see each other and begin a dance off.

I met Andre while trying to charge my phone and we had good conversation about the tv industry and how to make things happen.  When we were wrapped, I tried to jam out of there as fast as I could, but I wanted to see if I could connect online with Andre.  I never saw him leave, but I did meet a gay-ish guy Xavier who I had lunch with.  He couldn't find his way out, so I offered him a ride to the bus stop.

While on the way to the bus stop, I saw Andre walking around and offered him one.  Had all these different things not happen, I don't think I would have ever been able to connect with him.  So luckily, I got his facebook info and friended him.

NCIS LA #7

Talk about an easy day.  But first, a little bit of traffic and I had to call Central and tell them I'd be 10-15 minute late.  I got to the AT&T parking structure off Olive and walked across the street.  The guard told me that wardrobe was down the block and when I got there, a PA saw me and handed me my voucher.  I noticed there were still two vouchers in her hand so I wondered if I was the only one who was late.  Turns out the other guys had a later call time.  Oopsie.

So she called wardrobe and the wardrobe chick saw me.  She was cute and hot and what a nice body.  She was really cool too and was good with what I wore, a light grey suit.  Then she told me to wear the red shirt and tie for a second look in case I had one.  Then I strolled over to the lunchbox.

English Mike was there and Asian Warren? was too.  They gave me a hard time for being late but it turns out that I was the only one to see wardrobe.  Also, a black guy didn't even get his voucher!  So I didn't feel bad at all.

We were then informed that we were there just for photo inserts.  We were to walk down the side of the building with a gangster who was supposed to make a deal with us.  Of course, these are all pictures so we didn't have to wait for anyone except the photographer.

Next, a short time later, we had photos of our heads like we were taking passport photos.  And that was that.  In just three hours from sign-in to sign-out, I was done.  How cool was that?

So I drove home, had lunch, did a wash and got my hair cut.  Then I drove to Zita's to visit Mike but he wasn't there.  So I got his number from Kylie and found out he was at the hospital.  So I got to visit Bill and saw Natalie and we hung out a bit.  Mike told the nurses his story about being adopted and what an interesting story it was.  The black nurse liked my hair and touched it and was just gaga over it for some reason.  I guess she's just into hair.

Then I went home, had dinner with moms and proceeded to play online poker.  I haven't played for quite some time.

SWITCHED AT BIRTH #2

The first time I worked this show, I was a stand-in and we worked through the evening.  This time I was booked with my car and it was short and easy.

I stupidly had my car washed yesterday totally forgetting that I was in a car wash scene today.  So of course, they got it wet and didn't bother to wash it.  It was left with all kinds of water marks.  Oh well.  I've been meaning to wash and wax it and I suppose I should do that and get it clean.  That way, no water marks.

I got into Santa Clarita pretty easily although it is a good hour and ten minute drive.  I wanted to park the car closer to the car wash, but there was no parking.  So I had to walk all the way down the street but it wasn't too bad since I felt like it was a little bit of exercise, something I haven't done in nearly a month.

It was just one scene and I wasn't used until the last set-up.  Then we were out of there.  It was as easy as that.  When I got home, I ate, took a nap and then went over to Brea to get my suit with Jansen.  He asked if I wanted to help him edit the slide show but I didn't really feel like it so I just went home.  I caught a cold this past weekend, probably in Long Beach so I'm bummed cause I feel like I've been getting sick a lot this year.

CRIMINAL MINDS #3

I was booked as a CSI guy again.  Apparently, Criminal Minds is a story where FBI agents are sent to different places around the country to help with cases.  Today it was Detroit.

We worked right around the 4th or 7th Street bridge in LA.  It was hot and when you were in the sun's path, you were blazin'.  So I just tried to stay in the shade as much as possible.  Even though we started shooting in the afternoon, we knew it wouldn't go all night because the scene was a day scene and the sun started coming down pretty quickly.
