LIE TO ME

When I got booked on this show, I didn't know what it was. But when I looked it up on IMDb, I realized I had watched the pilot and just didn't want to continue watching it. It stars Tim Roth who plays a kind of analyst that uses facial tells to determine if someone is truthful.

Roth was actually a very nice guy. He was friendly towards a regular extra who probably got to know him in season 1. We were shooting the first episode of season 2, so there was a lot of reintroductions going on throughout the day.

I met Aeron at the Fox lot before he left for the day. He had a short Friday and was anxious to leave, but I made his ass wait. While we waited, I thought I saw Giselle go into a dressing trailer and after I sent her a text, it turned out she really was on the very next stage working on House.

After we wrapped, we tried to get together for drinks but the cosmos just wasn't allowing us so I just went home.

STAY RICH FOREVER WITH ED SLOTT

Exit Strategy
Most people don't have a plan to withdraw their retirement income.

SHIP
The SHIP Slott refers to is an acronym. Although taxes are relatively low, he expects them to rise because the following programs need to be funded.

Social Security
Healthcare
Income Tax
Pensions

Y-O-Y-O
You're On Your Own

If you don't create your own plan, you'll get the government plan.

Where do you want your money to go?
- The Nursing Home
- The Internal Revenue Service
- Children
- Grandchildren
- Charity

This is the order that 90% of estates are consumed in. This order can be changed, but you need a plan. Even a will is not enough since some things override whatever is in the will.

IRAs are like a football game.
1st Half of the Game - Accumulation
2nd Half of the Game - Distribution

The Three Biggest Benefits in the Tax Code
- Life Insurance
- Estate Tax Exemption
- "Stretch" IRA

Dramatization of a problem
Take a $10 million IRA. You die. In 9 months an estate tax kicks in. It charges $5 million. Your family takes it out of the IRA. Now the 40% income tax kicks in and your family is charged another $2 million. Your family takes it out of what's left in the IRA. But then they will be charged another 40% on the $2 million they took out which is $800,000. This process will go on every 9 months until you have no money left.

Admiration
People just love to look at their statements. But . . .

You Use It
You Leverage it
or
You Lose It

The Three Biggest Benefits in the Tax Code

Life Insurance
In the problem, Slott would have had the guy take $5 million out of the account and put it in life insurance since it comes out income tax and sometimes estate tax free. Life insurance might be expensive (and you'll have a higher income tax), but you'll benefit more than if you get into the taxation cycle explained in the dramatization.

Estate Tax Exemption
At the time of this writing, the tax code allows $2 million in exemption per person. To get the exemption, you need to leave the IRA to family other than your spouse.

Stretch IRA

You must determine who your beneficiary is so they can "stretch" that IRA throughout their lifetime by extending the lifetime of their withdrawals.

The Beneficiary Form is the single most important document to you!

It's generally a better idea to take control of your money. IRAs give you more options than a 401(k).

IRON MAN 2

I worked on this movie yesterday, but decided to just write about both days since they were pretty much the same thing. The only difference between today and yesterday is that Scarlett Johansson isn't on set today. It's unfortunate, because Scarlett's ass is so shockingly amazing, I really needed to write about it.

Not only was the shot from behind amazing, with her incredible figure eight shape, it was even more amazing from the profile view. It wasn't exactly a ghetto booty, it was slightly smaller, but just as full. I was left with bulging eyes and a slack jaw after each take was finished.

After commenting on Scarlett's ass with a fellow extra, she remarked that, "you must be an ass man." Was it that obvious? If it wasn't, I sure hoped that it was obvious, because it's always best when people know what you like.

The days were long, but no one seemed to mind because there were a lot of breaks between shots. Although the food was horrible on the first day (they even ran out of pasta at one point!), they sort of made up for it the next day.

We shot at Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach. We shot in a set that was supposed to be a bar in Monaco during its Grand Prix. Everyone was supposed to be rich so everyone was dressed nicely. The funny thing is that everyone was so young and I wondered if people in Monaco would be so young. The funnest scene we did was when we were supposed to react to Mickey Rourke destroying Formula 1 cars. People were doing crazy things like speaking in fake French accents and cracking jokes.
